Framing America as the victim of its own generosity to Europe is not a great way to rescind support, unbalanced though it may be. The US has supported Europe’s security because it served its own purposes to become the world’s superpower, militarily, culturally and economically. Otherwise you would have negotiated yourselves out decades ago after the USSR fell. But it’s obvious you like being a military presence everywhere, otherwise you wouldn’t be maintaining 800 military bases all over the world.

Chapter 8 describes how he escaped the bondage of sin through faith, (as Abraham did by faith in God's promises). This is the essence of true Christianity. A righteousness by faith through the once for all time sacrifice as Hebrews 10 v 12 says.
A society can only be 'good' (I'm lost for a better word here) when it embraces the essence of God's law. This does not of itself create righteousness but curbs evil and punishes what God regards as His created order.

Even if we were flush with cash, it's time for Europe to take responsibility for its own protection. Eighty years is far too long for us to be providing 70% of the financial burden while letting their elites pretend to "lead" NATO. Time to use our veto on the use of our money and our manpower.
