Dear Naomi, thank you for this honest and thoughtful essay. I think the culture has been on a slippery slope and now are facing the inevitable consequences of our moral decline. Moral rigidity is not good, but neither is accepting (now celebrating) aberrant behavior. You're having to deal with the guy in a "cute bikini" is not okay. Ironically however, he and those going down that path may be the biggest victims of this insane era. We are all paying a price. It's time to stop pretending, and in doing so enabling the lies. Now, when someone refers to a person as transgender, I say there is no such thing as transgender, that the person is mentally ill. If they are offended so be it. I'm offended at the nonsense they try to pass off as reality. As Solzhenitsyn warned, we must stand up for truth at every level, and "live not by lies".
Finally, Planned Parenthood has never been about health care. Its beginning, and true mission, has always been eugenics. To believe otherwise is buying into yet another lie.

The physical damage done to your child body, combined with the other serious health problems you described, sounds devastating. I did not know you are dealing with chronic pain. I have chronic pain on a smaller scale, so I heartily sympathize! Hang in there; I pray your pending operation provides relief.
Regarding the tyrannical Trans agenda, my theory is that it is actually driven by misogyny. In 2026, our country is terrorized by a statistically small group that insists men can be women and are entitled access to female spaces such as public bathrooms, sports for girls from grade school to the Olympics, domestic violence shelters and women’s prisons. As you said, there’s something about this full-throated insistence that does not feel organic. To whom is in favor of the erasure of women? Many powerful people, evidently. I will never forget the Easter Sunday during the Biden administration, where Trans men were honored at the White House. The spectacle and timing were grotesque and insulting.
I live in California, where our Governor has presidential ambitions. Is he aware that female prisoners are housed with Trans males who bully, assault and rape them? His wife maintains she is a devout feminist, which is preposterous.
I was glad to hear you haven’t been hit with negative fallout for this essay. Years ago, JK Rowland vigorously spoke out against the Trans agenda and was cancelled for her perspective. If the author of the Harry Potter books can be cancelled, threatened with rape and death, her family threatened, what hope is there for the average person?
You mentioned Gays against grooming; I’m a member, as is my partner of 35 years, Amanda. We want to be part of the effort to protect the safety of women and children.
