Gorgeous and brilliant! I'm elated that you have a Substack and have started out with a bang! Substack is pretty great (and you'll discover that you can embed links with that button that shows two links in a chain). Respect and love for all that you do! 🙌

I’m glad you’re noticing a pattern that has been evident to some of us for quite some time.

“Progressive” values are very shallow, more fashion statements than ideals well-considered and carefully and cautiously adopted.

Look how quickly “protecting the planet” went over the gunwale, along with billions of plastic-bearing masks, polluting the oceans, littering national parks and killing wildlife. In case you hadn’t noticed, “progressives” were the most zealous maskers.

Or what about protecting the rights of “persons of color”? Witness vaccine zealots in rich western countries rushing to their third and fourth shots, elbowing out of the way poor brown people who have yet to receive their first. (Ironically, in their me-first rush, they may have unwittingly saved them, but let’s face it, it was unwittingly.)

What about laptop lockdowners? They didn’t have to worry about “Covid” — their groceries and trinkets were “delivered”. They spared no thought for the producers or the deliverers, often “minorities”, whose lives they so vocally claim “matter”.

How about the shocking pronouncement by that darling of progressives, Harvard, that black and brown people should be the first to receive the experimental vaccine? Does no one remember Tuskegee?

Progressives will jettison their cherished values in a heartbeat if they think they might get in the way of avoiding what for the vast majority is merely a miserable week in bed. They readily and ostentatiously espouse their ideals, but don’t really live them.

The last two years have been revealing. Very revealing. And no amount of spin or of big lies will un-reveal the awful truth about “progressives”.
