Dr. Thorp is always so measured, and gentle in his presentations. I am sure he is such an excellent Dr. for his pregnant patients, inspiring trust and confidence. I worked on a surgical unit, as well as an oncology unit, and patients were always allowed to have directed blood donations, or autologous donations. It says a lot about our current systems, in relation to the MRNA vaccines, that they no longer permit or enable these types of blood donation.
It seems to me that the lack of trust in the medical community will inspire young women to seek out care from midwives, instead of OBs. Pregnancy and child birth care has become a medical intervention, as opposed to the natural process it should be

PS In my recent experience (others may vary of course) amounts that can donated are strictly limited per person, only one unit per donor within (if I remember correctly) a 2 week time frame. So for my local hospital if you need, for example, 4 units of donor designated blood for a surgery you're going to need 4 donors and that to be all arranged a full 2 weeks prior to the scheduled operation. And that is all assuming that the surgeon is both able and willing to help make that happen.
I would never trust even the crisis medicine we've heard so much propaganda touting it. Things have not changed that much since Dr. Robert Mendelsohn gave so many warnings on modern medicine. Unfortunately he had diabetes and did not find an alternative medicine help for that.
I want to give my own blood (autologous draw) for hip replacement surgery for which transfusions are rare but Vancouver hospitals will not store it. Apparently Canadian Blood Services changed the law March 2024 disallowing autologous blood donation for elective surgery. Any suggestions?
Or if possible have surgery in America where you can still get autologous blood set aside. I believe if you do not use it, you must give it to the bank for others. I do not know if there's any charges associated with collection and storage though.

My MIL served on a jury on which Blood Bank was being sued for using non-tested HIV blood on the public over 25 years ago.
