Naomi - I just read your X post on why America is not a Christian nation. Technically the historian you quote is partially right though cherry-picking his facts and expressing them like a bubbled left-academic (Vance's 'whooping followers?" Really?). What the secularists leave out is that the US is a *culturally* Christian nation - a culture this nation has a right to preserve and defend - and that's because they have been working slowly to purge faith from the culture since the days of Dewey and the 19th century Progressives, especially after they allied with the Frankfurt Marxists. As we all remember, it got to the point in the last few decades where saying 'Merry Christmas" got reflexive eye-rolls and "Happy Holiday's please." But those true believers were fewer than their loud voices; pushing back revealed their weakness. I see exactly what JD Vance is doing and am 💯, even if it worries you, Naomi. You'll get over it. Pogroms, as we have seen in the West since October 7, are a lot more likely with the secular left than the Christian right.

Another way of expressing the thought above...stroll around Hillsdale or Thomas Aquinas or Wyoming Catholic and tell them who you are. Then do likewise UCLA, Columbia, U of Wisconsin or Berkeley. Compare reactions.

But I think you already knew this.

I know that I am very late in watching and commenting on this podcast, but you two along with your dog are absolutely adorable. Naomi, lighten up on Brian's orientation to the camera. I doubt there is one person who thinks he doesn't love you above and beyond, because otherwise he wouldn't sit there at all and take it. Actually, don't change a thing, because listening and watching you three today has really made my day. This is my first time to watch Brian with you. Are you always this funny? I am just loving it. Please don't take any of this wrong, This is the best way to learn tough topics. To be able to belly laugh while watching is wonderful. I really love your content, keep up the good work. Thank you both along with Mochi (not sure about the spelling) for making my day.

Not criticizing, please just get a wide-angle video camera so Brian doesn't have to fuss staying in the shot.

Thank you for articulating what so many Western women (who either bother to educate themselves or have been victimized into knowing): fundamentalist Islam is incredibly dangerous. Especially to women. Since I’ve personally met the bravest women like Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Nonie Darwish, etc., and read Brigitte Gabriel, Bruce Bauer, Melanie Phillips, as well as you, and I detest the oppression and abuse (I’ve talked to Iranians who fled Iran in the 70s and I’ve counseled domestic violence survivors) I’ll take THEIR word for it. Wise up women, and fathers protect your daughters.

Why respect a religion that approves of lying to "infidels"? Moderate Muslims don't embrace the whole kit and kaboodle, but the radical fundamentalists want all nonbelievers dead. Sadly, the radicals are growing in numbers and power. Islam has become a political position rather than a religion, and we better wake up to that fact SOON!

Dennis Sullivan's avatar

I came across many Muslims mostly men and most from Iraq, Palestine, and in Iraq, from Saudi Arabia, and other places. They were ages 19-40. They were totally American first and they just wanted what most of us wanted- a job, a home , a good wife, and children. They all questioned the Muslim religion. They trusted me so they talked about what really mattered to them. Those who became US citizens did it the legal way to include paying over $3,000.00 in fees.

Biden's open borders 2021 to 2025 were the most sickening years witnessed in my long life.

The greatest poison in America is this mainstream media. They appeal to the gullible.

i have to wonder…since when did ignorance excuse anyone from the strong arm of the law??? this is all by design. a systematic annihilation of the west.

are we not learning anything at all from the systematic slaughter of christians in nigeria by islamic fundamentalists/radicals?

Every person is worthy of basic respect as a fellow human being. I respect the right of each person to have their ow religious beliefs. But anyone who cannot respect the religious freedom of others, our laws, and our culture does not belong in the United States.

Weisshorn Ent's avatar

Theoretically, Islam should be respected because it is a monotheistic religion. It has helped itself liberally to other concepts from Judaism. However, Islam has not come to grips with the previous forms of Middle Eastern religions, which are described in various Biblical passages. This omission means Islam has got some serious baggage from very negative energy that turns up with unsurprisingly regularity: tolerance for others, treatment of women, treatment of animals, attraction to exercising power, megaviolence as a prolonged tantrum...

LINCOLN LOVER's avatar

ISLAM IS VERY DIFFERENT IN THAT IT IS A RELIGION OF CONQUEST. This cannot be denied as the whole muslim world has been attained through conquest, wars and force.

Alice Emmons's avatar

Islamists like all the perks of living in Western nations, while they plan on changing our culture. I predict the problems we have with Islam will change the west; the west will get to the point where they will no longer tolerate this violent culture.

Todd Capen's avatar

Describing a horrific religion and yet expressing respect for all religions?

Sara Legvold's avatar

I have to ask Dr. Wolf what is there to respect of Islam? For people who have studied Islam their whole lives, this comment is a head scratcher. If you can say you respect Islam please explain to your followers what there is to respect it for? Name just one thing. Waiting.

Growing up “The Christmas Season” was always a magical time of year for me. I’ll always remember this one cold snowy December day walking home after a basketball game, I was 12 and played in the local Recreation Basketball league. It was cold and dark and the snow was already on the ground, I finally was getting home from the long walk across town. I walked into my house and there was my mother decorating the Christmas Tree. She had already put the lights in the windows and the garland on the mantel. She always made Christmas special for us kids. Christmas was once the best holiday.

Many of these threats come locally from the left. The other day I came across a local story that has gone national. A local Reverend Stephan Josoma at Saint Susanna’s, a local parish, had set up the nativity scene without the baby Jesus, Mary or Joseph. He placed a sign saying ICE Was Here. The obvious presumption being that ice agents had taken all three of them and that they somehow were illegal aliens. Below it, in smaller letters, it says the holy family is welcome in our church, implying that Jesus and the holy family could seek refuge in the church. The archdiocese in Massachusetts has finally stepped in and told Josoma to take the nativity scene down, but the leftist priest insists on politicizing Christmas through the church, the sign remains. It’s incredible how the left continues to tear down the foundations of America. The birth of Christ is a central theme of Christianity and father Josoma should not be allowed to desecrate it. A Catholic Church at any Christian Church should not be used for a a priests ideology, left or right. This same priest has pulled similar shows of blasphemy in the past. It’s pretty obvious, at least around here, the Catholic Church leadership has pledged its allegiance to the democrat party, partly open borders and globalism even over God and Jesus. Trafficking Illegal immigrants into America is not only illegal but it’s big business, and the Catholic Church has made millions of needed dollars on open borders and illegal immigration. As always, it’s all about the money.

Now I’m no theologian but Jesus was a subject of the Roman Empire. Well Bethlehem, Nazareth and Egypt were all part of the Roman Empire, so Jesus and the Holy Family never broke immigration law. In fact nations and borders are spoken of over and over again in the scriptures. There are walls with watchmen and armies at those walls to protect cities, nations and the people that live behind those walls. Not anyone was allowed to just enter the city or country.

People always speak of what’s in the Bible, what it says, they nitpick about what the words mean. Sometimes you need to focus on what it doesn’t say. It would be a perfect story, wouldn’t it be, if when Mary and Joseph got to Bethlehem and the first door they knocked on they were welcomed in, sure use my house, it’s yours, take it over. Imagine if then Mary gave birth to Jesus right there on the living room floor of a strangers house, it would have been the perfect narrative for the open borders crowd, but that’s not what happened. All the doors that were knocked on were slammed shut. It’s human nature for a person and their family to be secure in their home and then of coarse be generous to others, not selfish in a bad way. Anyone you let into your home you want to know and have some trust. You’re not going to open your door to just any random stranger knocking at your door. Sometimes you have to look at what’s in the Bible and sometimes what’s not in the Bible. This is why Jesus was born in a manger. Did this priest not learn this in seminary? I’d love to ask him why are there 40 foot walls around the Vatican?

One more point for your reading pleasure😁. What is heaven? Heaven is a Kingdom, the Kingdom of God. You don’t just walk into the Kingdom of God, there’s a gate and if there’s a gate I’m sure there are walls. Not just anyone is allowed into heaven. You must live a life of faith, you must belief in God, repent, you are judged, and if you are found worthy you are allowed to enter. Heaven has strict border policies, hell has open borders.

There are other places for people that break the laws of a nation. Maybe reverend Josoma should think about his fate before he performs his acts of blasphemy here on earth. Maybe give a homily of how we shouldn’t tolerate the rampant abortion here in the state of Massachusetts or the constant assault on marriage and family, or how about speaking out against radical LGBTQ plus agenda, NO? It seems many churches in Massachusetts main agenda that flows onto the pulpit is breaking the law by allowing in illegal aliens and their push for citizens to break the law, house or help house illegal invaders, struggling families forced to pay for this.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just enjoy Christmas again, focus on the birth of Jesus, and his life, like when we were kids, without all the politics! J.Goodrich

Dennis Sullivan's avatar

I think In Poland the Catholics can practice Christmas like we used to. I grew up in a Bells of St. Mary's type neighborhood but that is gone. The newcomers did not support the Church.

For those who make it to their mid 70s and are in rough shape we know our time is up. I have done a lot of investigation and believe there is an afterlife and of course it is a spirit world.

James Goodrich's avatar

There are many Christian churches that stick with the theology of Christ and the Bible. Some turn the pulpit into their ideology which to me is not leading the parishioners towards the teachings of Christianity. This is where, I believe, church leadership has to step in and remove the problem priest. This goes for left or right leaning priests, they’re not there to politicize religion.

Dennis Sullivan's avatar

I am a long subscriber to The Wanderer and to The Remnant. My blue collar parents educated me. My grammar school education by the nuns and lay teachers was excellent. There was no criticism of other religions . They educated us about the evils of Russian Communism.

We had to recite the times tables over and over. That is why I can figure how to pay at check out counters and today those at check outs look puzzled if you give them one dollar and a penny for an item that costs 51 cents.

"I’d love to ask him why are there 40 foot walls around the Vatican?"

Ditto.

"Heaven is a Kingdom, the Kingdom of God. You don’t just walk into the Kingdom of God, there’s a gate and if there’s a gate I’m sure there are walls. Not just anyone is allowed into heaven. You must live a life of faith, you must belief in God, repent, you are judged, and if you are found worthy you are allowed to enter. Heaven has strict border policies, hell has open borders."

Good point. Except that no one is worthy, but the Lamb of God. We are all flawed, and can only be counted righteous in Christ, our Redeemer.

The vatican is responsible for most of the wars and atrocities of history. They have been around for a long time, 1500years. The papacy ruled with a heavy violent hand over the Dark Ages and persecuted real Christians all through the Reformation in order to keep the power and control they DESIRE! Not many ascribe to the truth of the RCC/papacy history bc they don't even know any of it. It is one atrocity after another. Indeed, in the Reformation, 1517, the papacy was exposed as THE ANTICHRIST/false prophet and this was true for 3 centuries before the lies of the jesuits took hold in all the churches, even the evangelical/protestant ones.

DRK's avatar

I'm not quite sure what your point is? That the corruption in the history of the Roman Catholic Church is why the Vatican has 40' walls around it, or...?

If not all the details, isn't it common knowledge that the RCC abused the tremendous power it amassed? What institution with any power among humans has not been?

Doesn't evil always seek to take anything that is good & true, and twist it for dark purposes? In that case, I may have to rethink my dismissal of the Catholic church- though I object to the veneration of any man.

In spite of all the efforts to extinguish it, the Light of the world shines brightly.

May you and yours enjoy celebrating the Christman season!

LINCOLN LOVER's avatar

No, not why it has walls exactly. It has walls for it's own protection from those who know how evil it is and always was. It is the most evil and corrupt power ever amassed in the entire history of the world...both history and the bible tell us this in detail. Do you know Reformation history? Do you fully understand the book of REvelation and Daniel? Do you understand early Christian history and the persecutions of pagan Rome towards real christians. Do you know about COnstantine's success at conquering the Pagan Roman Empire and the legalization of Christianity and bringing the empire to unity? After his death the Chistians quickly fell into apostatsy which allowed for the rise of the first pope and all others after that.

Isn’t it part of life’s decisions that we all make, to put ourselves and our loved ones in the safest place with as much security to allow them FREEDOM and a sense of ease in their lives. I would say that the position of POTUS is probably the most critical person we elect that allows safety, security and liberty to our loved ones. When we have leaders that open our borders, we are asking for mayhem. This is what you get from open borders. Rudyard Kipling once said “east is east and west is west, and never the twain shall meet”.

“The watchman stands on the wall. Behind him is a city with its citizens and citizens the watchman loves. Before him is the vastness of the outside world, a world with enemies and threats both small and large.

With a weapon in his hand, he stays awake late into the night keeping his eyes on the horizon and the shadows, ready to give the clarion call of any approaching evil.” The watchman on the wall has been present throughout history and is made reference to in the Bible. We have to recognize that these threats of evil include all of these battles against our bill of rights. A president that not only looks away at these threats but ushers them through our gates should be removed as a watchman of our constitutional rights. We had 4 years with Trump where none of this happened. Then Biden opened the floodgates and now we pay for that. We should all do what we can to stop tyranny that is destroying our country and our political freedom. Our country was under siege for 4 years. We must be patient, this will not be fixed quickly. It can take a lifetime to build a homestead. It can be burnt down in an hour. J.Goodrich

The root of all the evil in the world is Satan and he has given power to the beast [Rev13:2] and gave it the seat [the papacy], power and authority to pursue evil of every kind. Until the world recognizes this root of evil, it will continue as it has. The vatican is the root of evil, run by the jesuits.

Why would any sane person respect a religion invented by a madman that calls for the death of all those who reject it? And where women are treated as vermin and slaves?

Let us also not forget that the attack on Christmas began with Americans, including so-called Christians, making Jesus' birth and days before and after it, a materialistic frenzy.

Joseph A Gorski's avatar

It’s important to connect the dots. Things that might seem unrelated like attacks on Christmas are part of the globalist agenda. Thanks for doing that.

Elaine's avatar

Long before a globalist agenda existed, Christmas was attacked as it is the celebration of the birth of Jesus and Jesus has been ignored, mocked, ridiculed and made into a Communist for decades by many Americans including some so-called Christians and of course, non-Christians.
