I want to warn everyone...the "New Anti Semitism" is very real. In the last 6 months it has gone off the charts. I get around a lot politically and socially and I have seen with my own eyes, intelligent people who saw through covid, who connect the dots, who are rational, suddenly are going off the rails. Not just criticizing Israeli government policy, but real nazi level thinking and imagery. Check out JakeGTV as an example. Right out of Der Sturmer 1923. Right out of Goebbels playbook. Many are SO disappointed, SO frustrated, SO angry about the state of American politics, their hopes have been crushed over and over....now along comes. As for the term "Anti-semitism," that has been kicking around for ages, and looks to have achieved a new level of acclaim recently. Is there anything going on there? Somewhere around the one hour mark in this interview the subject of the Noahide laws was touched upon. If one looks at the rhetoric used to advance the implementation of those laws it sounds very nice; convincing, even. But if one digs into the fine print, well, as they say, "That's not so good now." So part of the problem -- for those interested in implementing the laws -- is to keep the main mass of the population ignorant about what they really mean, and what kind of world would result. Basically they function as a foundation for genocide.
If that were widely known, then the implementation would be more difficult. The scenario recalls Lenin (Bolshevik Revolution), who said something like "The best way to deal with the opposition is to organize it ourselves." Something like that. So if enough people are automatically outraged when confronted with any idea that works against an agenda item that could be linked to Judaism (such as the Noahide laws) then the overall implementation is easier. It stops rational analysis cold...similar to the rhetoric we saw during the cv offensive ("Anti-vaxxer," "Grandma killer," and so on). So somebody, for some reason, is resurrecting the "Anti-semitism" card all over again. What do they say, "When you are over the target you get the most flak?"

As a "Christian" I would never say "we don't need the Jews any more because of the NEW covenant". The old one is still valid for those who received it direct from God. God never goes back on His promises. Near the end of time their will be a Jewish revival in which many Jews will come to believe in Jesus, The Christ of God. On the one hand Christianity interprets the Old Testament in the light of what came later: the gospels and the Pauline epistles, mainly (plus later developments, for instance on the Catholic side). On the other hand in Judaism there is likewise authoritative scripture that came later than the Tanakh, but it is quite a bit different. One difference is how much force ought to be used in order to "fight against evil." Another swirls around opinions of who Jesus is; and there the two doctrines are not only different but almost exactly the opposite. So we might not be able to speak of some merged state of mind signified by "Judeo Christian" until that difference is resolved (one way or another).

I had the experience of being part of a Torah Study (first five books...the Tanakh) with a group of Reform Jews for seven years....until October 7th was exposed for what it was. And yes, I was doing exactly that...viewing the Torah it in light of what came later. I had many questions and we often explored the Hebrew words in the Plaut edition of the Torah and their exact meaning. I have also been a lector in the Catholic Church and now in the Cathedral for well over twenty years, exploring the texts of the Old Testament as well as the Pauline epistles. The Catholic Doctrine of Nostra Aetate was explored and developed in the Archdiocese to which I belong. So I fully appreciate that this "merged state of mind" has become problematic. The Pauline epistles have 7 that he wrote and 7 that he didn't. He condoned slavery and manufactured some Mormon vision of Jesus appearing to him. "Shaking people from their intellectual stupor" is a challenge and a worthy one. There are many ways to do this. The "non-violent communication" method that Marshall Rosenberg promotes is one. Perhaps a bit short on actual solutions though, but a good way to begin. Nothing wrong with 'justified' anger. How to express it is the greater challenge.
