the difference between the KJV and the Geneva although it may be a fumble in the translation Genesis 50:19 (avoid using any 'catholic edition', which it may call it "The Holy Bible', but until Vatican II it made difficulty to get the bible in one's native language and remember for centuries persecuted those who translated the Bible into English and were cutting away from the utter abominations of the Catholic cult/religion and the religious witchcrafts of the Vatican and the Papacy. I suggest also using KJV and a Strongs Concordance (see website blbclassic.org. On it is the ability to use any translation, although the KJV is linked to the Strongs Concordance by checking a little box just above where bible verses text starts on the webpage), And yes all like the RSV and the NIV all of modern and contemporary versions the after KJV are mangling (and yes blasphemous) what was in the Hebrew and Greek which were 'clean'. Understand this important blessing that the Father and the LORD bring us into. Actually, the LORD commanded His disciples to preach the forgiveness and remission of sin. His ministry as the GOSPEL, the GOOD NEWS (Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:18; matthew 10:5-8; Mark 16:14-20; Luk 24:46 ¶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: lLuk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name (name =nature or character, the same as in the First Covenant/Old testament) among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.) was to liberate the captives of sin and its wages death, which YESHUA as the SON of GOD, Emmanuel 'elevates' us, raises us up into the GOOD NEWS-Gospel that He is by doing what HE did and does - forgives and remits sins (and the sins of the Fathers back 10 generations) and what is also miracle is the wholeness that He redeems us back to the Father as that perfect Lamb without spot or blemish. The elaborate steps of the sacrifices and the many for different reasons, the LORD fulfills all of these. and because after Babylon, there now were synogogues, whereas before babylon there was only Solomon's temple, where once a year the high priest went in and made sacrifice on behalf of himself and the people. The Father was done with this. 400 years passed without a prophet from Malachi to John the Baptist. in the Father's calendar, it was time for the Lamb without Spot or Blemish to come to do the Father's will and take His cup and do what the Father wanted. and when the LORD awakens us and brings us into what He wants and is doing with ParaKletus, the HOLY Spirit, and to bring us into the FEASTS that HE is, our passover, through and into the Pentacost (baptism of/in the HOLY Spirit with tongues) and into the Tabernacles feast, as the LORD was that first perfect (earthen vessel ) tabernacle that the Father and the HOLY Spirit also could dwell in. We who are awakened by and from the Above (where the LORD is seated at the right hand of the Father) as He had been that seed that fell into the ground and died and then in defeating that final enemy death, HIS perfect 'coding' like what the seed produces (apple seed doesnt produce peach trees) So we're to manifest as Sons of God (romans 12:1-3 transformed here in Greek = metamorphosed; also Romans 8, IJohn 3:1-2, and the book of Hebrews ch11, 12. He was/is forever after the order of Melchizedek and too is bringing us, awakened and metamorphosing we who KNOW Him into this king/priest ministry and relationship. So to speak to the mangling of the catholic bible, true the children of Israel, true see even the pharisees were incensed that he was forgiving sin. Who can forgive sin? and the LORD said, is it easier for me to say, your sins are forgiven your, or to say to you, rise up and walk. https://www.blbclassic.org/search/translationResults.cfm?Criteria=rise+up+and+walk&t=KJV

(start with verse 20) Luk 5:23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? See what now by awakening/called and chosen by the LORD to manifest His perfect character and victory over all enemies that He was able to 'achieve' while on this earth in HIS earthen vessel. That awakening from the Above by HIM/The HOLY Spirit, then is this start of this metamorphosing out of our life which died with HIM to be (reborn) awakened from the realm of their Spirit and its perfect order and to manifest that and to do what He did.

anything catholic is abomination. see the humble vehicle of Alberto Rivera that Jack Chick's publications made available to help with reach those who were or are catholic (and in my case I was 'raised' catholic but met the LORD YESHUA in a profound way when I was 15. Alberto Rivera gets into the Jesuit oath, transubstantiation and what the Vatican will do and its whore babylon practices and schemes to keep and/or extend its power. It was alberto rivera's ministry the LORD used to bring me out of Catholicism. Yeshua's sacrifice is perfect, complete and never needed to be done again, nor done at every mass that catholic doctrine believes is done at the alter by the priest; its doctrine says it can pull YESHUA out of heaven and re-sacrifice Him. also the crucifix is because as a cult/religious witchcraft and blaspheme, by its statuary keeping a graven image of YESHUA on the cross, He cannot do anything for you or anyone, anything else. thus its indulgences, mary and saint worship and all of that, rosaries, novenas and

Matthew 6

King James Version

6 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Thanks once again Naomi. It was a pleasure to hear and see you as well.

I looked forward to the rest of Joseph as it shows, among other things, how to face adversity with class. Andrew Lloyd Weber may not know that Joseph’s coat might not have been technicolor. That’s OK. I saw one production only. There was a not only a coat of many colors, but a giant Sphinx on stage wearing sunglasses. I’m not sure that was accurate.

In the film “The Red Tent” Joseph was dragged to Pharaoh in chains looking like had spent a few years in the dungeon. The reading from Genesis indicates that Joseph got cleaned up for his audience!

As you pointed out in translating the Hebrew, Joseph recognized his special perception as a gift, as opposed to acting “in place of God.” That sort of hubris in the English translation is a little surprising to me, and a subtlety I would never have picked up on my own. In this case and other examples what was the agenda of the translators?

I can’t help coming back to Dostoevsky’s character Ivan speaking of Jesus in the wilderness. Dostoevsky called Jesus’s dialog with the “wise spirit” as the one “thundering miracle” that stands apart from all the others, in his estimation, the others that may fade with the forces of doubt, retelling and time. Not to say that I know anything, but I was startled in the telling of the Grand Inquisitor by exactly this sentence. I view Joseph’s story in somewhat the same light. That special perception, the “knowing,” the existence of intent and a timeless reference for our existence. Maybe that’s all we really want to know, but a tall order.

It is fascinating that Pharaoh valued Joseph’s gift. Need I spell out what the Grand Inquisitor would have done with him?

Best wishes!

This proves the dumb-ass white people cannot ever translate they own Bible correctly. I am not being racist!

It’s tough to distinguish dumb ass from

sorry I said "ever" when I meant "even," so even I am not or was not perfect! How did "ever" actually work there...? Not bad?

Thank you for the reading. I’m noticing a theme of ministers speaking more on the reverence, awe and fear of God. And I’m thankful that historically our country claimed to be One Nation Under God. May He continue to be merciful and turn our hearts toward Him.

Along with all the other comments, and love you bringing the clarity from the original Hebrew! So amazing that God has gifted you with ability from both Hebrew and old English to be able to give such unfettered analysis (so many academics have already decided “what it must say”- ugh) with a genuine seeking to see “this God” rightly according to what he proclaims about himself. I’m enjoying this so much. And I agree- Perhaps your greatest work.

PS. I heard Tucker Carlson mention he’s been reading the Bible. Someone should tell him to watch these and learn along with us. 😇

DEAR DOCTOR GOBBLES UP SHEEP AND PICKS HER TEETH WITH THEIR BONES! Please forgive me for fussing at you recently! Here you see how important this work is too! Aren’t you glad to have a bull in the china shop follower like me? Thanks so much for making this lovely daisy chain to hang around my neck while I munch on the sweet clover of the Word!

If you’ve not yet listened to these readings, please do. Even if you are an atheist, it will at least make sense - people remaining devoted despite sabotage, petty bickering and full on genocide. If you are Christian, please allow me with Dr Wolf’s reading, to introduce you to the most lovable GeeOhDee of whom you’ve never dared to imagine!

This was great Naomi.

Although aware of your earlier Geneva bible readings I never had time till now . . . so, this was the first I watched. I was really moved(teared up) at the end when you detail the differences in the two passages. While you described so sweetly how Joseph forgave his brothers and pointed out how God's "thought" is what matters not what one is experiencing in life(fear, dread, anger etc), I could not help but empathize as you transitioned two years ago from liberal, high society, aparatchik to warrior queen of righteousness. It is obvious you now see it was all for the better good, both yours and everyone's that you wash clean of the old. It was G_d's thought.

Love ya', kiddo.

I am so in love with your in depth readings of the Geneva Bible, that I am now a paid subscriber. I am wondering if I missed readings? The last ones were from the story of Jakob and that was before you fell ill. (So blessed and happy that you are well!, Praise Yahweh!!) Now we are on the story of Joseph, which I must tell you, I have openly wept over this story. I am so moved by the love, even in the face of betrayal and jealousy and greed. To this day, I have a coat of many colors and wear it as if it was love I am wrapping myself in. Please let me know if there are any that I missed. We all get busy but you have to know what a blessing this is to me. Sending love and light to you beautiful warrior woman.
