Dr. Wolf, the Covid war to which we are being subjected is being carried out by an enemy using a “dual narrative.” One set of pro-vax etv argumemta are made to the political Left while another different set of arguments is made to the political Right. This means that many of the most powerful Republicans are working against us.

This Twitter thread goes into an example you will not believe which involves a *Republican* US House member. It will unnerve you - and I say this knowing that you have aeen a lot.

“They” are doing things so *evil* that simply saying them out loud paints me as a conspiracy theorist -even though everything in this thread is both verifiable and true!!

Executive privilege should never extend to unlawful or illegal acts. Let me cite a claim made by each side.

Nixon's claim re Watergate.

Obama's claim re Fast and Furious.

Are we as a country supposed to let slide the illegality of these acts?

Should we not be far past disclaimers such as "I disagree with some/much that you say, but I defend to the end your right to say it"? Enough, already, Dr. Wolf et al. simili! Readers here with half a brain already get that, ab ovo. Such disclaimers imply preemptive apologies: which, in turn, suggest self-doubt on our parts. None of us on this blog or on any other need apologize for any or all of our opinions. At least not to any temporal authority. The latters' claim to authority is totally spurious.

Dear much-respected Dr. Wolf: please continue your powerful witnesses to the truth. Refrain from any and all such disclaimers. You are so far above all that!!

You always make me re-think things I was sure I had a good grasp upon. Thank you for your articulate, honest discussions on difficult topics. I also love and respect 'my then-husband' instead of my ex-husband. That is so much more honoring to you both, as well as everyone else involved in your lives during that time.

Your impassioned arguments are all very convincing. Alas, all of these rational and patriotic considerations are now ashes, burned to the ground by an endlessly psychopathic, vicious, and avaricious Deep State. Trump was elected by the people because they saw in him the resolve to stare down the endlessly encroaching abuses of the organized elites into the lives of the nation and its people. The terminal lies of Obama, the homicidal drone lists, the destruction of our political process in a sea of bogus handouts to political and financial allies via continuing resolutions and printed money. Te sniveling corruption of John Boehner types. The price distortions and the gaming of financial markets for the privileged. The contempt of Nancy Pelosi scoffing at our civil rights enshrined in our cherished Constitution. The gleeful humiliation of the Tea Party. The stupid, brutal wars. The ridicule of our most sacred traditions, the subversion of our young people into lives of narcissistic nihilism. Enough was enough. Trump primary virtue was that he was NOT another Bush; transparently faking patriotism while he helped the dogs of the world devour our precious nation. He was not Rubio, or Christie, or another shill that would always betray the country and its people, even bare humanity to score the next deal, or enrich the next profiteering ally.

So Trump got elected, and boy did they ruin everything he tried to do for the People, for the nation, for our future. The endless bogus prosecutions, the leaked top secret conversations, the by-any-means-necessary insanity. The release of savages to destroy people's lives and livelihoods, the betrayals of military men, the unchecked abuses of corrupt judges, the destruction of patriots, the distortion and destruction of our ancestors and our traditions. Now we have bogus star chambers in Congress with judicial powers wielded recklessly by the likes of Liz f*ing Cheney, inconstant son-of-a -war monger, the insane covid delusions, the gaslighting, and the hatred exuded from every element of "our" government...supposedly by, of, and for the people, their obvious enemy that they exterminate without concern.

Where from here? If we elect another President, we will get the same BS claims of illusory racism, not based on actions but upon genetics, and Russia-Russia-Russia, the censorship, the job destruction, the sacrifice of children? No, these spirits don't go back into the bottle. They thirst for something quite a bit more sanguine. I can generate no optimism. History tells us where this goes. Our system is broken beyond repair. The future promises victims. God help us all.

My apologies up front, my comments are not about the topic at hand. I just wanted to thank Dr. Naomi Wolf for all her wonderful work. You are a woman of true heart and compassion for your fellow man (no matter what political stance a person may have). You have restored my faith in personal conversation again between people who may not always agree with one another but can agree to disagree and respect one another for their opinion(s).

The decency of which you write, e.g., no "tale-bearing," is a legacy of Christendom. To the degree that, increasingly, this nation's executives fail to acknowledge that bestowal, and more importantly to fear the King of kings who gave it currency, our society will continue to slide further under His curse.

I have a fantasy that this is an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal this morning. And the current First Lady reads the paper to our current President over their morning coffee.

I'm "sorry" that it might appear that I'm "always critical of you", Naomi, but what about the fact that executive privilege is also heavily abused to "justify" crimes against humanity and war crimes that many if not most U.S. presidents have perpetrated, and used to make them supposedly above the law, and/or above answering to Congress and the courts?

I've long said that most U.S. presidents become war criminals as soon as they give their first order to "drone" someone, and/or some group of people, or to bomb a country into submission, because most of those killed are usually civilians, not "terrorists". All of the wars the U.S. government and military have been involved in for many decades have all been illegal wars of aggression, "the supreme international crime" according to international and domestic law under the Nuremberg Protocols, the U.S. Constitution, and other national and international law(s).

The point is, you laud executive privilege without addressing its pitfalls, which is the context you should be giving---unless you are going to also publish a followup article where you truly address those pitfalls of executive privilege, which is being abused increasingly. But, if you were going to do the latter, it should have been mentioned at the beginning and/or the end of your present article, or it likely would have been so-mentioned.

"DemoCONS" are even more guilty of habitual, long-time war crimes and crimes against humanity, as well as war(s) of aggression. When these wars are even addressed in Congress at all, the majority of "DemoCONS" support them (with only one voting against supporting same in the case of the Iraq debacle). So, of course they're also abusing executive privilege more and more, too.

"Rhetorically-questioning", what happened to the truism that NO ONE is above the law, including U.S. presidents? They too MUST be answerable for ALL of their crimes against humanity, war crimes and ordering aggressive warfare [aka, unconstitutionally and illegally invading and occupying sovereign countries, and doing away with sovereignty in favor of what the global(ist) MINORITY rules is "legal" and/or "justified"---and the majority of Congress going along with it and supporting it, including doing away with U.S. sovereignty as well, regardless of the fact that most of the U.S. population is against it]. Otherwise, we will never be able to put a stop any and/or all of those crimes.

Executive privilege must not continue to increasingly be used to shield such war and other criminals from accountability. They too are NOT above the law [or at least they shouldn't continue to supposedly be such, and never (be) held accountable for any of their many crimes against the people of the U.S. and the world].

'We the People of the (World), in order to form a more perfect (World---NOT a world government!), establish (true) Justice, insure (global) Tranquility, provide for the common (true) Defense (NOT ANY aggression WHATSOEVER!), promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves, and our Posterity, do ordain and establish (the true Welfare of the World) for (all the People of planet Earth)!'

Thus, executive privilege should continue to apply to private Executive Branch deliberations, but it SHOULD be necessarily limited and NOT, AT ALL, apply to Executive Branch criminality.

Thank you for the sound reasoning regarding the most human trait of seeking out advice from confidantes who are able to keep it “on the QT” while applying themselves to hearing you out and/or responding, i.e, enabling you to think. It is a fallacy to think that by hearing the words of the Principal or “Sounding Board advisor” that one can understand what either one’s actual position was, and further whether it remained what it was in that moment. I think it is such a disgrace to the sensibilities of the American electorate that advisors and their communications are being alleged as evidence in grand juries, and most especially in the improperly constituted “select-committee.” Yes, there was a time when the Office of the President was highly respected by all, if not the man.

Naomi,

I believe it takes a person of proper and strong character to abide by executive privilege, like yourself. I do agree with you that executive privilege is extremely important and without the president knowing that what he discusses with his attorneys, advisors, and cabinet members will be kept confidential can be catastrophic to this country if leaks occur. However, if a president enrages in acts of treason, or breaks the law, let’s say he tries to corrupt the IRS, justice department, FBI, to go after its political opponents, such as Richard Nixon did, I prey that the various departments reject these corruptions as they did back when Nixon was president.

I consider that Bill Clinton and Al Gore were the first, recent history, administrations that began the selling out of America.

Bill Clinton had accepted a one million dollar donation for his second campaign from china. At the time a Chinese national, whose name was Chung frequented the white house dozens of times. He was in a way the Hunter Biden of the Clinton administration collecting millions for Bills second presidential run. In return for the million dollar donation, Bill sent 3 super computers to China that could pinpoint targets in America with Chinese missiles. As you may remember Al Gore was caught receiving donation in Buddhist temples in return for nuclear, missile, and other computer technologies. These acts in my eyes were treason committed for personal political gain. These transfers of technology would be the beginning of the absolute selling out of America. By the time Hillary sold off 1/3 of Americas uraniums mines to Russia for a 100 million dollar donation to the Clinton foundation the Clintons had the luting and rape of America down to an art form. This was the beginning of the total sell out of our country. I only wish that there were whistle blowers in their administration, and non corrupt people in the different departments including FBI, Justice Department, and courts to stand up and prosecute the obvious crimes committed for dirty money. Unfortunately these sections of our government have been stripped of proper strong charactered True Americans. Now we have partisan hacks running these departments that are prostituted by money and power. They have no love for America only for their party.

Without an absolute enema of these departments, I fear that this country will continue its rapid decline to third world status. Even America cannot survive the complete corrosion of its basic foundational system of JUSTICE!! It will not survive.

I have felt we have lingered on our history, mainly on the backs of the greatest generation, my fathers generation. These strong quiet hero’s are all but gone and with them has gone our greatness.

These Ds actually are destroying our REPUBLIC. They keep implying and saying this nation is a DEMOCRACY. Most do not understand the governance of this nation and its founding principles. We are a Representative Republic, not a pure Democracy. The current power-mad Ds abuse the Republic by cheating and lying to win elections, then re-indoctrinate the uneducated, which now seems to include most every college and government-public school graduate. This issue is just one of the many unraveling the Republic.
