A 20-year-old paper that describes a situation that has only gotten worse over the past two decades. Why most published research is false by John Ioannidis:

When I was in the hospital recovering from hip surgery last spring I discovered the blood thinners they were forcing me to take contained parabens. Horrified I decided to take aspirin and Vitamin C, which are real blood thinners and not anticoagulants, like the drugs they prescribe

However, I got transferred to a nursing home ( because Humana, my insurer, refused to pay for rehab) and I was forced to. fight the nursing staff when I refused the shot in my abdomen. The nurse stuck the needle in my stomach anyway and I had to file a complaint with the head nurse. Being over 75 puts one at a keen disadvantage in nursing homes where they do not expect opposition let alone medical rebellion.

Back in 2018 when I suffered a stroke after a dental procedure I refused statins during my recovery in the hospital and was kicked out of rehabilitation after being labelled medically non compliant.

Thank goodness I had the guts to fight them as statins have proven more harmful than beneficial. They are contraindicated. anyway for post menopausal women and my LDL at the time was only slightly over 100. They have their procedures and protocols to follow and thank goodness my hospitalizations did not coincide with COViD insanity.

In our home, we call Stinging Nettle , Grandmother Nettle. The intelligence of this powerful wise healing plant is as humbling as it is amazing. Plants are intelligent, and before receiving their medicine, a heart connected thank you for its Holy food will open a connection between you and the spirit of this plant. Much like saying ' Grace ' as is advised in many books, when thanks is given it not only acknowledges the beauty of this unconditional gift from the Earth, which in and of itself is an elemental Truth that heals = ...but it opens the body to receive on multiple levels . Many of these ancient healing plants will adjust their medicine accordingly. I drink nettle infusions , which is a quart jar of hot water, with about a fifth of it being dried nettle leaf tea. This infusion can be drunk if refridgerated for the following few days. A truly powerful Elder , and to meet this plant in heart, and connect with it, is something more profound than words can describe. Naomi thank you for sharing all you explore, with such passion and open ness.

For cold/flu, lots of vitamin C, zinc and quericitin, elderberry syrup, and you could add lemongrass to your chicken soup - mustn't forget the chicken soup! Curcumin/turmeric is a great anti inflammatory. NAC for lungs and to detox. Milk Thistle as a liver detox. A medical intuitive told me to pick stinging nettle from the lawn, while it's still young, to boil into a tea. Re shampoos, soap, cleaning products, etc, I've been using clean products for years, sans parabens and sulphates - and no windex in our house. I was using a particular "clean" skin care product for years but when the brand become crazily expensive, I discovered another clean brand, much less expensive with lots of options (e.g. for wrinkles, "lifting", etc, creams, serums, eye creams). So many of toxins to watch out for in cosmetic products - even some that claim to be toxin free. Will certainly check out the CHARLIS.Beauty line. If you're interested in learning more about hormones and hormone disruptors, let me know and I will introduce you to a holistic pharmacist (RPh) who worked for years with a pharmacy company that compounded bio identical hormones, is also a prominent nurse practitioner (CNP), and lectures extensively on hormones.

Thanks Naomi for the great information. Are you aware of the app: Yuka? You can scan products and it tells you what the ingredients are and if the product is harmful and why.

You don't need a tea ball. Best to simmer tea gently in covered stainless or glass pot with lid for 5 minutes or so then continue to let steep for a few minutes without heat then you can strain with a small strainer. Herbs such as peppermint, tulsi basil, lemon grass, nettles, raspberry leaves, chamomile, hibiscus flower, ginger. and turmeric root root are vitamin rich, nutritious and beneficial for colds and cleansing. Dandelion, burdock root, and milk thistle are good for liver cleansing and hawthorn berries are good for heart and circulation. You can add other herbs specific to your body needs and create a personal formula to be drunk throughout the day gently supporting your body.

Naomi, if you don’t know about him, I think you would really like “Doc” Patrick Jones at the Homegrown Herbalist. :)

Loved it although in regards to men and a more (feminine) appeal, I truly think it is purposely planned. I believe Hollywood picks a ‘look’ for its current generation and my take is their picking talented but thin men. Look at the most recent stars- feminine, thin and not masculine at all.

There’s a constructed war against men, and men want women so they deconstruct themselves to fit the look.

Someone told me about nettle tea when Covid came on the scene. Added it to my regulars. Love herbal teas. Love lemongrass as well.
