Wow. BOOM! That needs to be printed out.

But, didn’t we know this when over the last years we viewed streams of a disproportionate number of young men approaching the border, not looking overly bedraggled, sporting only a backpack which was often not bulging? We asked ourselves: Where is the water, the food, a blanket, change of clothes - and more? How did they walk 300, 500, 700 miles or more with few basic necessities, the most crucial, water?

Why were journalists not going into Mexico and beyond, checking transit routes, looking for respite centres, transportation? Did no reporter think to infiltrate these groups, walk with them, talk with them, learn of the procedure and routes? I guess not. We have been lied to, gaslit, taken for fools. They got away with it because they could. Legacy media propped up the narrative. And we, struck dumb by threats of being labelled racists and bigots, remained silent.

Yes, this is war on America, and my nation, Canada. Lord help us. Is it too late?

A related note. When many of your doctors are from that culture described , imagine the fun of a female patient dealing with that same dismissive arrogance. Not comfortable or acceptable. It’s been the experience of some in my nation. But what can one do when it is hard to find a doctor? The answer is to fight hard to remain healthy so as to never need their services.

And, what can we do right now? Work hard to ensure the current governments are tossed to the curb and the feet of our political reps are held to the fire. And pray. Pray as we have never done before.

Finally, and most importantly, we must seek to live upright, godly lives so that light will shine.

when i was a smarty pants little kid, i used to have this argument with my mother all the time. she'd say that the USA was a wonderful melting pot and i'd counter that it was a large unsavory stew with too many conflicting ingredients, all fighting for dominance.

try putting 1 teaspoon of every single spice and herb in your spice rack into one recipe and it will be inedible.

our first mistake as a nation was putting up dual language signs. you want to live here? learn the damn language!

my italian grandmother came here at 16 by herself with a 2nd grade education. her english was always poor but it was all she needed to be a homemaker and a piece worker in a dress factory. my italian grandfather was a tailor. he took english lessons at night so he could read the newspaper. my greek grandmother was sold into marriage as a teen by her uncle. she escaped and made her way back to her parents who booked a passage for her to america where waiting relatives had a job ready in a cigar shop. she resisted marrying my greek grandfather because technically she was already married but no one checked. my greek grandfather had a candy shop where thomas edison would bring his sons for ice cream sodas.

our russian houseguests, a married couple who have advanced degrees in music from Yale and play in orchestras all over the eastern seaboard, spent 5 years and nearly $10,000 in legal fees to finally get their green cards. they would submit thousands of pages of documentation proving their worth only to be asked for thousands more. they passed required medical exams (that they had to pay for) but thankfully their russian doctor's medical exemptions spared them from covid vaccines. they were not allowed to leave the country during the endless process so they haven't seen their parents in years. now that they have their green cards, they will be able to visit family this summer. in the meantime, we serve as their family.

if they maintain spotless records and pass civics tests, they may be granted citizenship in 5 years. only then will they be able to vote.

meanwhile, hordes- armies- of people who will make no contribution are pouring over our borders and given handouts. it makes my blood boil.

our russian couple had every obstacle imaginable thrown at them.

lately, they tell us that if things get really bad here, they will take us to russia with them. whatever one thinks of Mr. Putin, he is at least a serious leader, unlike the buffoons we have in charge.

i'm rooting for texas!
