You mentioned "Insurance Fraud", to justify where they want to go, pardon me for stating the obvious, Insurance is fraud, one way street, or what Flo calls:"give me my god damn discount," with a 9 millimeter to your temple and an iron fist raking as much as she likes. Yes grifter Musk needs to give us a full accounting of how many new baby mammas he knocked up last week while running 7 companies and stealing your digital data
The war was never about tanks and missiles—it was about information warfare, infiltration, and playing the long game. And Putin won before most people even realized there was a war happening.
By leveraging corrupt businessmen, far-right movements, religious zealots, and GOP politicians hungry for power, Russia didn’t need to fight the U.S. head-on. Instead, they hollowed out America from the inside, weaponizing division, disinformation, and greed.
The Evangelicals were the perfect vehicle—already primed for authoritarian leadership, they became foot soldiers for policies that serve oligarchic interests, not Christianity, not democracy, and certainly not America. The conservative base was radicalized to fight “wokeism” and “globalism” while the real enemy was cutting deals in the shadows. And Trump—always loyal to power, not country—was the perfect pawn to close the deal.
The scariest part? Most Americans still don’t realize they lost. They’re still arguing over election fraud conspiracies, gas prices, and culture war nonsense while their democracy has already been dismantled.
At this point, the U.S. isn’t a superpower—it’s an occupied state in all but name. The military is being reshaped, alliances are crumbling, and America’s role in the world is being rewritten. The question now isn’t ‘how do we stop it?’—it’s ‘what comes next?’ Because what’s left isn’t the America people thought they knew.
Musk works at the “pleasure” of the president. He is a delegated instrument of the President; or think of him and his team as an outside contractor brought in to do an objective audit. Musk has not taken over the Presidency. And if he is an influential advisor, then no more than Obama’s Valerie Jarrett or anyone who guided the poor demented President Biden. Nary a word about coup when those people appeared to have had an inordinate amount of influence on the Presidency.
I am a reformed Liberal as well and would often write volumes, as you have here, to have to make my progressive points through twisted logic. I came to recognized that when I could not make my argument in a few paragraphs, then it was BS.
Furthermore your premise indicates that deep down you still think Trump is a buffoon and an easily influenced showman. You are smart, but I am afraid your Democrat roots have clouded you with TDS, albeit a mild form, but TDS nonetheless. President Trump is orchestrating great things to right the Ship of State. I am sorry that you see it as nefarious.
All I can say is nothing and nobody is perfect. Fine to put out some warnings, I’m sure security is being given a lot of thought. One thing for certain, they are exposing incredible corruption masterminded by Global Marxist sympathizers. All the programs with all their kickbacks designed to undermine people and governments in countries all over the world in order to control including the US is demonstrably evil. Anyone, in my opinion, who has a problem exposing this, is suspect. Coming from a career supporting the Dems, it must be very difficult to come to terms with how evil this Party has been on so many, many levels.
’m disappointed in Naomi’s choice of words for the title. The thought behind those words is absolutely button-pushing. When I read the title I recognized my negative reaction to just the gravity of the thought. It was a buzzkill. I immediately listened to the podcast and thought she made interesting points although I sensed a hesitancy in her trusting Elon Musk. I needed to think a little more about her words and came to these comments.
A reader on this thread led me to a Tom Renz video in which he explains the department of digital services was founded under Obama and has been rebranded. Also Musk has long had a top security clearance from Biden. As a journalist Naomi should have ferreted that information for her loyal fans before going for the appeal of sensationalism. Tom Renz, a lawyer and a journalist, did that for his audience when he heard the Democratic hubbub. He looked to see if their claims were valid and he found the underlying facts.
I expect better from Naomi whom I admire. Before inciting readers with her scary and overwrought title that is reminiscent of Democratic propaganda she could have done some research and modified her own need for concern. I also feel that this topic in particular has something to do with the expertise of her husband, Brian O’Shea, who Naomi actively promotes.
According to Scott Bessent the 2 members of DOGE are employees of the Financial Reserve. They have read only access. Obviously they have the clearance needed. POTUS Trump is not going to violate the law. He knows that over-reaching activist and most likely blackmailed judges are going to
file lawsuits. POTUS Trump already knew how corrupt USAID is. POTUS Trump had a Q security clearance when he was a civilian. He had access to everything befor 2016. He just needed Elon Musk to expose it. Sounds to me like the young people are updating and improving systems. They don't need access to records for that. Musk just revealed the SSN system allows for the same SSN to be used several times. I thank God for POTUS Trump and Elon Musk. Any concerns should be backed by evidence, not speculation.
This seems to be hysteria based on a lot of supposition regarding data access. My understanding is that the DOGE remit is to look solely at finances and spending. The task is very specific and the goal is to make recommendations to the executive branch. Expressing concerns about excessive access is just supposition and hyperbole at this point without some real evidence.
No transparency? Transparency about the issues speculated about here? What if none of these concerns are just not true? They are transparent about what they’re doing and nothing more. I agree there is potential for abuse but I don’t see any evidence of that so far.
1. USA voted pres. Trump in by a landslide, thus trusting him as a leader
2. Pres. Trump appointed Elon Musk to audit government spending
3. Elon Musk has top security clearing
As a South African, I am very proud of what Elon Musk has achieved, and wish that our country could provide the scope that he needed to realize his dreams. From what I can gather on podcasts and news, Elon Musk is doing exactly what was asked of him. Now instead of wasting time on the how, why don't you jump with joy about the outcome so far re his research, and what this might save the US tax payer?
In this Connecticut town, they built a lot of half a million dollar apartments, federal a few years ago. Most of us pay no rent. Instead of having family members sharing large apartments, everyone gets their own half million dollar unit. Most residents were against this as the prior housing was fine, could have been rehabbed. It was all built on lies that the old housing was no good with federal money. There are a million stories of federal waste like this. Or go into the nursing homes, where people are propped up for years at hundreds of thousands of dollars in expense a year.
Wow. Glad I don't use cabs. I live in Canada (and near an airport) and none of this happens where I live (not in Toronto), but I could see how they would roll this out with public services.
We all know that digital ID's are where "they" want to go, so a HUGE data breach of Everyone's data would be a a way to introduce digital ID's to "save" us from "nefarious actors" accidentally on purpose.
I am glad that you are discussing these issues and flagging your concerns. I do hope that Mr. Trump's advisers pay attention and cover the issues you raise.
I doubt any President in history has attempted anything of this magnitude. The size of the problem and the extent of the evil and corruption I think warrants a degree of risk taking but not at the expense of due process, evident honesty and strong integrity.
While I believe that God intended for Mr. Trump to be elected he is not God. He can, he probably has already and he probably will do wrong.
The reactions of the Democrats and the legacy media are irrelevant perhaps not completely but to me at least your concerns are reasonable and need to be addressed otherwise they may trip up the many good things he has done and hopefully can still do.
But the thing I most agree with is NO ONE is going to rescue US. WE must take responsibility for our governments (the situation is worse for us in Australia, for one thing we do not have Mr. Trump or anyone remotely like him)
Mr. Trump needs US citizens to do this. Thank you Dr Wolf for raising it.

WTF is wrong with you, Nsomi?

Without police this would not be a problem. Our relationship with the police is complicated, let me unravel this concept in my podcast here:

You have outlined this grave concern so very well. I’m sharing this widely! Thank you.

Maybe she's clutching her pearls because she's afraid they'll find payments that went to her?
True no evidence of anything.. no transparency is a great way to make sure there is “ no evidence”

We can do both: 'jump with joy' and maintain precautionary stances. Naomi has valid concerns and her eloquence and caution is welcome to me.
Absolutely concerning!
