Dear Naomi! Once again, belatedly, I have listened to your reading and commentary with my heart overflowing with gratitude. This translation is indeed beautiful, and you make it accessible! How lovely is your reading voice with all its story-telling power. Your commentary about how God understands the nature of his creation and keeps on loving and correcting them is a revelation to me. I have a deeper understanding of the relationship of God and humans.

Thank you Naomi. I love your reading and your comments. I agree that the side notes are very illuminating. The comment about God understanding that it is human being’s imagination that gets us into trouble and leads humans to do evil is fascinating. I have studied the Catholic Study

Bible , the NAB, and the Jerusalem Bible. The Geneva 1560 Bible is so enlightening and your knowledge of Hebrew and the Book of Genesis is so enriching. Thank you again!

I use the Study Bible from the JW site and your version is mostly similar to that except for the odd word and some sentence structures there are no radical differences.

Thank you for a beautiful reading and commentary. Our church uses the NIV translation of the Bible, which is supposed to be true to the Hebrew Bible in the Old Testament, and Greek and some Aramaic in the New. I was very curious about the Geneva Bible and I am reading along as you read, with the NIV Holy Bible phone app and find it surprisingly close but not identical in wording. It is very worthwhile to learn what our founders knew to be the word of God.

Still following. I survived the flood. Next episode today.

I had no church, no Sunday school. But fire and brimstone third grade teacher Mrs. Skaggs from W. VA read to us daily. But I liked her! These Grand Inquisitors never intimidated me. I found it fascinating and in all the years since never considered myself indoctrinated ... rather, educated. That was three score and four years ago.

She could have read the Bhagavad Gita and that would have been cool with 8-year- old me. All the objections to reading scriptures in school never impressed me. The same dorky activists took the COVID shots without a wimper! And killed a few kids with them. Folks need to give more thought to what to take in stride and when to get excited.

Reading King James in school to me was in line with understanding the founding of America. The 1560 even better now that I know!

Thank you Professor! I love your soft reading voice and commentary!

Thanks for the beautiful reading Naomi! And thanks again for all you've done during covid and beyond in standing up for sanity and human freedom. One person you might be interested in chatting with is a fellow Canadian up here, Trish Wood. She's a retired CBC journalist who's been great on covid and the trans agenda; I suspect you two might hit it off:
